Parenting Group

Are you a parent, grandparent or a carer looking  after children? Come to a weekly parenting group run by Plant Dewi Families together group. The session is an opportunity for you to bring your children or to come alone to meet other parents and carers to discuss any issues, gain confidence and to make new friends. The session is free and everyone is welcome. If you are interested in attending, the weekly session is running every Monday between 9:15am – 12:15pm at Communities First Bigyn 4 meeting room in Penyfan Park.

Debt and Benefit Advice

If you would like advice, or have questions related to benefits, then come and meet Christine and Bryony on Tuesday the 25th of January between 10 – 12 at Communities First Bigyn 4 office. The officers will be able to check that you are receiving the correct benefit and can advise you on other benefits you may be entitled to receive.

Food Co-op

The Food Co-op will are taking orders every Wednesday afternoon between 3pm – 4pm at the Cabin.  The fruit and local grown vegetables are £3 a bag and must be ordered and paid for a week in advance. If you are interested in volunteering on the Food Co-op project by taking orders, delivering the produce and promoting the scheme, please contact us.

Open Partnership

If you would like to get involved with your local Communities First team, come to the Open Partnership meeting on Wednesday the 26th of January at 5.30pm.

Sign Language

The successful sign language course is still running and has been moved for one session only. The next class is on Thursday the 27th of January between 2pm – 3pm at Lakefield Hall, Lakefield Road, Llanelli as part of the Llanelli Multi Cultural Network event. The class is free and is open to everyone, at all levels. You don’t have to have any previous sign language experience.

Health Visitor

The local health visitor will be at Communities First Bigyn 4 offices on Friday the 28th of January between 10am – 11am, there is no need to book an appointment. If you have any questions feel free to come along.
