Focus Group Participants Needed!

Communities First Bigyn 4 have been working in partnership with the Screening Promotion Department of Public Health Wales. We have been asked to set up two focus groups for men and women.

Te first is for people of 30 – 40 years (held on Monday the 21st of March)  and the second is for people of 40 – 50 years old (held on the 22nd of March).

The sessions will be held  at The Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre, Llanelli between 2 – 5pm.

The focus group will be looking at the public’s preferred way of receiving information about NHS Breast, Bowel and Cervical Screening. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire and will then be shown a new method of promotion – digital stories.

The Screening Promotions Officers present will be show examples of health promotion tools such as leaflets, websites, a health information stand and a health education session. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire to rate which method you prefer on a scale of one to five. Screening Promotion Officers will then present a new method of promoting Screening, called ‘Digital Storytelling’. You will then be asked which method of promotion you pre, and asked to complete a questionnaire.

If you or anyone you know are interested in attending, please contact Nerys Wyn Owen by e-mail with your/their name, address and contact number (along with which focus group you will be attending) by the 17th of February.

Your participation on the focus group may result in more people being screened, and could help save a life!
