The Llanelli Music Scene

The Llanelli music scene is a thriving culture.  We have rock, metal, punk, memo, dance, ado’s, and other such enthusiastic people to make Llanelli’s weekend night life a thriving business.  Whether it’s Bar Luna, The Kazbar, Mason’s Arms, Met Bar or even on occasion the Smiths Arms, there are plenty of great nights out with live bands or dj’s.

Mason’s Arms

This is the place to be on a Friday night if you like live bands playing different variations of rock music.  Saturday night is great too, with juke box at hand and the regulars are a friendly bunch too.

The Kazbar

This rock night club hasn’t been around long and is a hidden gem in Llanelli.  It’s only open on a Saturday night, so hit Mason’s then get your butts over here for a few more with the regular dj Mike. 

He even takes requests, and also he takes photos when the night goes on.  So if you see a flash run for the hills because you might be next

Bar Luna

I don’t really know much about this place.  Been there about 3 times and didn’t find it that interesting myself.  That’s just my opinion but if you like dance music, this is the place for you. The staff are friendly, even the bouncers are friendly unless you kick up a fuss.

Met Bar

They play a variety in here.  From cover bands to dj’s to hosting the South Wales Battle of the Bands.  Its a great place to go for a nice quiet pint with your mates.

Also in Llanelli we have a very trusted music shop that most of the local bands buy equipment from and practice in. If you are in an up and coming band then go talk to Alun Rees in Cadno Music.

Also, feel free to email me.  Same goes for anyone who dj’s in clubs, gigs in local venues.  Even if you’re just in a little band in your mates garage!
