Last night (08/03/11) the Llanelli Sea Cadets received their Bi-Annual Royal Naval Parade Inspection. Or RNP.

 

Commander John Rees RN (South West Area Officer), Lt Cdr (SCC) W. Alan Thomas RNR (West Wales District Officer), Lt Cdr (SCC) Mike Hulonce RNR (West Wales Deputy District Officer) visited the Llanelli Sea Cadets along with members of Llanelli Town, Rural and Carmarthenshire Councils, Mr Parker of Parker Plant Hire LTD, Mr Andrew Stephens of St Elli Shopping Centre, Members of the Llanelli St Elli Masonic Lodge, and many more important figures of Llanelli.

The Llanelli Branch of the Royal Naval Association (RNA) yet again showed their continued support.

The night was a great success with positive feedback received.

The RNP is a bi annual inspection by an area officer to ensure that the Sea Cadets are maintaining the high standards expected by the Sea Cadets.Mr Lynn Davies Llanelli Town Clerk receiving his gift of appreciation. Presented by Commander J Rees RN.

 

Petty Officer (SCC) Lucy Jenkins who is the Officer in Charge of Llanelli Sea Cadets stated “I am so proud of all of my Cadets & Staff tonight they worked their socks off and did Llanelli proud, well done guys time to relax and have some fun!! We look forward to continuing to strengthen the fantastic links that we have with the local community and build on a great year. Thank you to all for your support.”

Also on the evening the retiring Town Clerk of Llanelli Council Mr Lynn Davies received a gift of a Ships Clock and Barometer for all his assistance and support during his time in office for the Llanelli Sea Cadets.
