Communities First Bigyn 4 news (we 13th March 2011)

Over 50’s

An over 50’s exercise class has been organised for Wednesday the 16th of March between 10- 11. The session will be low impact and a gentle form of exercise an is open to all physical abilities.

LEN

The next Llanelli Environmental Network (LEN) will be held on Thursday the 17h of March between 10:00-12:00. Come along if you would like to get involved in Environmental projects in the area.

Debt and Benefit

If you would like advice, or have questions related to benefits, then come and meet Christine and Bryony on Tuesday the 22nd of March between 10 – 12The officers will be able to check that you are receiving the correct benefit and can advise you on other benefits you may be entitled to receive.

Befriending Circles

We are working in partnership with Age Concern to set up a weekly group for over 50’s. The Befriending Circles group will be meeting every Wednesday from the 23rd of March between 1:30-3pm. Come along for a coffee, cake and company. It is open to the whole of Llanelli.

 

All of the above will be taking place at Communities First Bigyn 4 offices, Penyfan Park, Llanelli.

Focus Groups

Communities First Bigyn 4 are working in partnership with Screening Promotion Department of Public Wales and organising 2 Focus groups for both men and women. The aim of the group is to look at the existing marketing material used and which method of marketing you prefer. The first session for individuals aged between 30 – 40 will be held on Monday the 21st of March and the second session for individuals aged between 40 – 50 will be held on Tuesday the 22nd of March. Both sessions will take place at The Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre in Llanelli between 2 – 5pm.

Unlock your Future

An ‘unlock your future event’ has been organsied for Monday the 21st of March at Myrtle House, Llanelli between 9:30-11:30. Several agencies will be attending who can offer advice, guidance and support individuals back into work or education. There will be free refreshments, children’s entertainer and a study bag full of goodies for the first 30 people through the door.
