Commissioning for social care providers – free event
WCVA and Welsh Assembly Government invite you to a free workshop on commissioning for third sector social care and housing support providers. Â
In August 2010, the Welsh Assembly Government issued the Fulfilled Lives Supportive Communities Commissioning Framework, which establishes guidance and good practice for social care commissioning in Wales. The Framework is supported by the Value Wales’ online Social Care and Housing Related Support – Procurement Route Planner. Â
These workshops have been developed specifically for third sector social care providers to give them access to some of the social care commissioning tools, and provide the third sector with an opportunity to engage with and inform the Commissioning Framework’s implementation. Â
The workshops will: Â
-
Consider the key messages for commissioners and providers in the new guidance
-
Demonstrate the Procurement Route Planner and consider the approach it sets out for the commissioning and procurement of social care and housing related support services
-
Demonstrate Daffodil, the new Care Needs Projection System for Wales which has recently been made available to providers
-
Identify opportunities for providers to engage with the Commissioning Development Programme
-
Provide an overview of recent key Guidance and reports
The events are being delivered by Welsh Assembly Government’s Health & Social Services Directorate and Value Wales. Â
