Come to Tea & Coffee with Mamgu
Are you one of the 60% of grandparents who look after their grandchildren regularly?
Do you need help from your parents sometimes?
Do you know local parents and grandparents who could be interested in getting together to support each other?
Come to Tea & Coffee with Mamgu and the Llanelli Multicultural Network, Wednesday May 11th  from 10.00am-12.00pm at The CAVS office, 10 John Street Llanelli SA15 1UH. Local Patron: Menna Trussler plans to be there. Â
Find out more about Learn with Grandma and discuss setting up a local group where local families can support each other: learn from each other and have fun together. Have a chat about things you would like to see happen in Llanelli. You could set up a craft group – the older generation could show traditional skills – how to knit or mend a bike! Start an allotments association or a shop selling Fair Trade & local goods. Start a home-work group. Children could show the older generation how to use the internet – how to book tickets; find the lyrics to the old songs. All sort of information is now on line – just one click away! The children could record traditional skills; local history – we need to capture some of these before they are forgotten. Â
If you can’t come but would like to know more contact Val.
