Communities First Bigyn 4 and the Llanelli Environmental Network are holding a Green Day on Wednesday the 6th of July.

The purpose of the event is to raise environmental awareness in Bigyn 4, announce the results of the ‘Bigyn 4 Best Garden’ competition and officially launch the Llanelli Environmental Network (LEN).

Agencies and organisations will be available to offer advice and guidance on environmental issues and residents will be able to pick up blue bags and a bag full of environmental goodies will be available for the first 30 people through the door at the official launch.

Jonathan Williams from LEN said:

“The aim of LEN is simple. We want to help make Llanelli a cleaner, greener place to live.

By working in partnership with local groups and organisations, we are able to hold events like this in the community.”

Organisations confirmed so far include, Debt and Benefit Advice, Communities 2.0, Llwynhendy Environmental Group, Tenants Network and representatives from different Carmarthenshire County Council’ Departments.
