Over 50s

The over 50’s Befriending Circle group is going from strength to strength. The group meet every other Tuesday between 1:30-3pm. A cooking demonstration with the Llanelli Multi Cultural Project has been organised for Tuesday the 26th of July. You can sample different food and learn new cooking techniques. Come along, it is open to the whole of Llanelli.

Plant Dewi

Are you a parent, grandparent or a carer looking after children? Come to a weekly parenting group run by Plant Dewi Families together group. The session is an opportunity for you to bring your children or to come alone to meet other parents and carers to discuss any issues, gain confidence and to make new friends. The session is free and everyone is welcome. If you are interested in attending, the weekly session is running every Monday between 9:15am – 12:15pm.

Sports Sessions

Communities First Bigyn 4 have organised several free events over the summer holiday’s for the local youths. On Thursday the 21st of July between 1 – 3 there will be a sports session for both boys and girls held at Penyfan Playing fields.

Open Partnership

If you would like to get involved with your local Communities First team, come to the Open Partnership meeting on Wednesday the 20th of July at 5.30pm at the Community Christ Church, Trostre Road, Llanelli.

All of the above take place in the Community of Christ Church, Trostre Road.

Free Dragon Play Bus

Do you have children between 0 – 10 years? Are you looking for somewhere to go? Come along to the Free Dragon Bus at Penyfan Park car park every Wednesday between 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm. The bus has play activities for children, sand, painting, art and craft, home corner, toys, books, music and signing. Have a cuppa and enjoy yourselves! All children must be with a parent/carer. Everyone welcome.

Sports Taster Day

Come along to a Sports Taster Day in Llanelli Leisure Centre on Friday 29th July, organised by the Sports Leisure Health and Wellbeing Action Group in partnership with Communities First. The free event will run between 11-3 and will be a fantastic opportunity for you to come along and try your hand at a variety of sports including dance, martial arts, football, rugby and get to know who your local sport clubs are, and what they do. Please wear suitable clothing, suitable for 8-14 years old. A consent form must be completed by a parent or guardian. Free transport will be provided from Bigyn 4, please book your place by Monday the 25th of July.
