The quest to bring one man to Wales this summer

Today (Saturday 6 August), Londoner, Piers Bramhall will wake up to the sound of a male voice choir singing the Welsh anthem outside his London flat, Welsh chef Bryn Williams will then borrow his kitchen to cook him breakfast which will be served by Joanna Page.

He’ll then learn the Welsh anthem while taken to the Wales v England rugby match at Twickenham where he’ll be greeted by well known Welsh people.

Not the average day for Head-hunter Piers, who has unsuspectingly been head-hunted himself and catapulted to the limelight as the focus of the Visit Wales marketing Campaign for the UK and Ireland.

This was the first stage of enticing Piers to Wales, the baton is now being handed over to the Welsh public to invite Piers, tell him about where he can find the best experiences in Wales, what to see and do and where to eat and why.

A Facebook page has been created where people can leave messages, video messages or pictures for Piers and his partner, Emma. First Minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones, said, “It’s the people of Wales who know and love the country and have the inside knowledge on what makes Wales such an outstanding place to take a holiday.

We want you to suggest places for Piers to come on his trip. We want Piers to know how special Wales can be, and we want you to tell him.”

On the 5th of September, Piers will arrive in Wales for a weeklong holiday and will take up some of the invitations which appeal to him. His holiday will be filmed and will be the basis of the new Visit Wales TV advert which will launch in January.
