Concern for missing Durham man
Concerns are growing for the welfare of a 65-year-old man from Park Road, Stanley, County Durham.
Thomas Potts has been missing since 25th August when he was last seen by his son Anthony in Darlington. He has family connections in Wales and it is believed he could be in that area.
Police are concerned for his well being because he takes medication which he is believed to have left behind.
Insp Simon Orton from Bishop Auckland police commented: “We know that Thomas likes to travel around the UK using public transport; however it is unusual for him to be out of contact with his family for such a long time. Thomas’ family are obviously very concerned for his safety.
“There is a suggestion that he may have gone to the Wales area, where he has family connections and has travelled to in the past. We would ask anyone who has seen him to get in touch. We also know that Thomas has a mobile phone and would ask him to get in touch with us directly so that we know he is safe and we can re-assure his family.”
Thomas is described as being white, 5’7″ tall with a medium build and has short grey curly hair.
Anyone who might have seen Thomas since Thursday 25th August is asked to call the police on 0345 6060 365.
