Sign Langauge Classes

Next FREE sign language class Monday, on 28th November at the Community of Christ Church, Trostre Road, between 6 – 7.30pm. Please contact Amanda on 01554 785955 if you are interested in attending.

Community Building

Penllwyn Community Building group (Penyfan and Llwynwhilwg) are holding their AGM on Wednesday 30th November at the Community of Christ Church at 5:30. Everyone is welcome to attend, if you would like to become a member please request a form from Amanda on 01554 758955 or Amanda.edwards@cavs.org.uk We are working really hard to have a community facility in the area, please come along and support us!!

Community Survey

A community audit is taking place around Penyfan, if you receive a questionnaire through your door, can you please complete it. It will give us information on what you feel the needs are in the community, so that we can start projects and work with agencies in order to bring about the improvements. We also need your opinion on the development of a community building in Penyfan so that we can use it as evidence for a funding application. If you don’t say that we need it, we wont have it! Please complete the questionnaire.

Over 50s

The over 50’s Llanelli Befriending Circle are meeting on Tuesday 29th November at the Community of Christ Church, next to the New Dock Stars from 1:30 – 3pm. There will be a talk from the local police on keeping safe. Plans for the next six sessions include Yoga exercise from your chair, a Christmas party, Craft session on card making, and a poetry writing session. This is free to everyone, come along and make new friends! Get in touch with Amanda on 01554 78595 if you’d like to come along.

Welsh Classes

Communities First Bigyn 4 are running Welsh classes every Tuesday evening 6 – 8 at the Community of Christ Church. The free classes are open to all Bigyn residents. Contact Amanda on 01554 785955 if you are interested in attending.

Football

Penyfan football team training session times:-

  • Monday 5 – 6 under 13’s
  • Tuesday 6 – 7 Seniors
  • Thursday 5 – 6 under 9’s

All training sessions take place on the red gra at Coedcae school

Child Protection Course

Communities First Bigyn 4 are organising a ‘Child Protection’ course to be delivered by Barnados on 24th January, for more information or to put your name down for a place please contact Rhian on 01554 785953.
