Police Station opening times for Strike Action: 30 November 2011
Following the decision by Unison to strike on 30 November 2011, Dyfed-Powys Police has put in place measures to ensure an appropriate service is available to the communities it serves.
Â
It’s estimated that the majority of Police Staff who are Unison members will take part in strike action, and this will impact on public access to Police Stations.
Public Enquiry facilities at Aberystwyth, Brecon, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Llanelli and Newtown will remain open on 30 November – and provide a Front Desk resource for public access.
The facilities listed are Dyfed-Powys Police main stations and maintaining their public access will be delivered by police officers. This will have a minor impact on policing during the day. However, this will not interfere with emergency response incidents.
We will endeavour to deal with some non-emergency calls as quickly as possible given our available resources on the day.
Dyfed-Powys Police is committed to safeguarding members of the public and will endeavour to effectively and efficiently address the challenges this event presents.
Dyfed-Powys Police can still be accessed via the internet, the non-emergency 101 number – or via 999. www.dyfed-powys.police.uk
