Santa rolls into town to tee off Christmas Festival
By Chris Ridgway
An impressive Burry Port Christmas Lights display was officially illuminated on Friday watched by an enthusiastic gathering.
Â
It followed a procession by children in festive attire, headed by Santa Claus through the town to the Memorial Gardens, where entertainment was supplied by the Town Band and carols were sung by local school children.
The compere for the evening, Jim Belcher was again on hand to over see proceedings.
Stalls and activities were laid on in the nearby Town Hall, with an array of local produce on offer.
The festival committee said they would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their continued support.
