Did you know that we’re independent and run by volunteers?

Yes, it may surprise you to think that we are not but we are and don’t receive a penny from the County Council or other large organisations e.g. the Hywel Dda.

You may wonder why we do it. We do it because we want to:

Positively Promote the People, Town and Communities of West Wales and serve their needs by providing unbiased and politically neutral news.
We also want to try and help people gain new skills and employment. That’s why we give people the opportunity for work experience with us.

One day perhaps with your help, we could employ those people.

The West Wales Chronicle Used To be…

Llanellitown.com

When Llanellitown.com was formed, we had the option of setting up a purely commercial company or keeping it for the community. We decided to take the community route as we felt it was something that the area needed.

We don’t ‘advertise’ on the site, but allow sponsors. Sponsorship is slightly different as we see our sponsors as businesses investing in our work whilst also receiving the same benefits as advertisers. Apart from a small grant for some specific project, our only income is from sponsorship.

However, we don’t want the site to be overloaded with advertisers or sponsors and want to keep as much of it as free as possible.

So whether you have added your business to the directory, downloaded a screensaver or games or anything else. Then please consider making a small donation so you can help us continue to promote the area!

If you would like to sponsor, then please use Paypal and the email address is jonathan@llanellitown.com

Thanks,

The Team
