Getting on Track: Llanelli Money & Skills Advice Day
An event to help Llanelli people get their finances back on track is being organised by Llanelli Assembly Member Keith Davies and Member of Parliament Nia Griffith.

The Getting on Track: Llanelli Money & Skills Advice Day will be held on Thursday 16th February at the Pyramid in the St. Elli Centre. The event will be attended by a number of organisations whose focus is to provide free support and advice for families in improving their financial circumstances.
Residents will have the opportunity to receive drop in professional advice or book appointments for private consultations.
Nia Griffith MP said:
“I have noticed an increasing number of constituents coming to me with problems related to money, unemployment and benefits. Debt is a real issue for hardworking families in Llanelli.
“At a time where wages are frozen and bills are on the up, this day provides a great opportunity for people to get to grips with their finances; find out what they are entitled to and get good advice to get back on track.”
Keith Davies AM said:
“”I am really pleased to be holding an event in town that will help Llanelli families get sound, face-to-face advice from financial and skills professional.
“It isn’t easy seeking help or support when things go wrong, hiding away doesn’t help either. By having a wide range of support services in one place, I hope as many local people as possible can access they help they need to get back on track for 2012.”
Between 10am and 2pm on Thursday 16th February, advice clinics will be provided by The Money Advice Service, Citizens Advice Bureau, Working Links, Carmarthenshire County Council Home Improvement Team, Save Easy Credit Union, Lighthouse, Careers Wales and there will be an opportunity to speak with Nia Griffith MP & Keith Davies AM.
