Purple Routes Open Access Play Sessions Feb to March 2012

What is open access play?

Open access play is any provision in which the process of play is facilitated by staff where children are free to come and go as they please, free to decide for themselves what they want to do, why they are doing it and how they go about it.

There is no contract between the playworkers and parents or carers to provide care for any duration whilst the child is present.

The open access project is aimed at children age between 5-15 years and children attending under the age of 5 should be accompanied by an adult.

Please Remember:

Children and young people and/or their clothes may get dirty, muddy or wet when they play, but that’s what makes play fun for many people.
