Rugby legend Derek Quinnell awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship
By Robert Lloyd
Llanelli rugby legend Derek Quinnell has been honoured with a Paul Harris Fellowship from Llanelli Rotary Club.
The award is the highest honour which can be handed out by the Rotary movement.
Mr Quinnell, pictured with his wife Madora, was presented with the award by the President of Llanelli Rotary Club Graham Williams.
The presentation was made at the launch of a Paul Harris Society for the South Wales District 1150 area of Rotary.
Mr Quinnell, who played for Llanelli Scarlets, Wales, The Barbarians and The British Lions, made his international debut against France.
Could that be a lucky omen for Saturday’s Grand Slam match?
