Silent demonstration against Hospital cuts
There will be a silent demonstration against the proposed cuts to Prince Phillip Hospital (PPH) services next Thursday 29th March.
It is being organised by SOSPPAN (Save our Services at Prince Phillip Hospital), Llanelli Town & Rural Councils, MP’ and AM and is going to be held at PPH.
The demo will start from 11am allowing for a staggered arrival of people with the last to arrive no later than 11.45.
There is absolutely NO parking available to demonstrators within PPH grounds, so anyone coming will have to park elsewhere or come on one of the free busses being provided.
Parking restrictions will be enforced by the police.
The demo will finish at 1pm and anyone who came on a free bus will be taken back to their pickup point. There will not be any speeches or a march, it has been decided that it will be a silent demonstration.
Buses are being donated by Davies Coaches who will pick up at various locations around Llanelli, from Bynea, Glanymor, Pwll, Swiss Valley, Bigyn and depending on need from other area’s as well.
If anyone requires a seat on a bus they should phone Llanelli Town Council on 01554 779990 to book a space.
Please do this ASAP so that Davies Coaches can plan the best routes for the buses to take. The exact routes with approximate pick up times will be available next week.Â
If you need further information phone Suzy Curry (SOSPPAN event’s organiser) on 01554 757511 or 0756 1566 456
