Jobseeker of the Week ‘Tanya Barrett’

Tanya has been attending at The Lighthouse since February 2012 and has been a very motivated and enthusiastic learner.

She regularly attends Job Search sessions and is very open minded about the vacancies that she applies for. Her preferred career would be in the care sector but Tanya has applied for vacancies in retail also.

Tanya also has previous experience in both retail and care and comes offering great skills. She has excellent communication and listening skills and is ready to start work immediately.

Rebecca Thomas, her Job Search tutor said, “Tanya would make an excellent employee as she is hard working and reliable. She would especially make a great carer as she has excellent empathy skills”.

Whilst attending The Lighthouse, Tanya has enjoyed attending activities such as health & safety training and our new confidence building course. When asked how she’s finding the support here, Tanya said “I find The Lighthouse very helpful and gained a lot from the confidence course”.
