Keep Wales Tidy Events in June

  • 6th – Cycle path cleanup: Dafen – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.68763,-4.128821&hl=en&ll=51.687337,-4.128263&spn=0.007223,0.021136&num=1&t=m&z=16 (10am – 1pm). The cleanup will target the cycle path between New Road and Halfway traffic lights. All tools and equipment will be provided.

  • 9th & 10th – Himalayan Balsam pull: Pontnewydd – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.742868,-4.250464&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=15 (11am – 1pm). The highly invasive plant will be removed along the river banks. Please bring gloves, no other tools are required.
  • 18th – River cleanup: Glanamman – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.806956,-3.924758&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16 (10am – 1pm). Some tools and equipment will be available.
  • 25th – Working party: Pontyberem – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.778595,-4.169784&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=16 (10am – 1pm). Local environmental issues will be addressed including litter and overgrown footpaths. Some tools and equipment will be available.
  • Please note that the meeting points are where the arrow is pointing, not point a.

    All (unless otherwise stated) are welcome to join the above events. You are welcome to stay for the duration or any time you can give will be greatly received. For all day events, please bring lunch as we don’t provide this, and the work locations are often not near food outlets / shops.

    Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

    Please dress sensibly to suit the weather conditions on the day. Suitable footwear should be worn also (not sandals / flip flops, formal shoes); safety boots are ideal, but anything fairly rugged will be acceptable.
