Fire Service looking for new firefighters in Pontyates and Ammanford
Head of Carmarthenshire County Command Rob Quin said: “We are approaching members of the community to see if they would consider making themselves available to respond to emergencies, especially during the day.
“We are asking local people: ‘Do you think you have what it takes to be an on-call firefighter in Pontyates or Ammanford?’
“If you want to make a difference, why not help provide an invaluable service for your community – and get the chance to earn extra money?
“You’ll get all the training and support you need to deliver community safety advice, tackle road traffic collisions, and fight fires.”
Members of the public who are interested can also call the recruitment team on 01267 242636 for more information.
