Llanelli win Welsh Football Magazine’s ‘Best Programme in Wales’ award
Llanelli AFC have won the presitgious ‘Best Programme in Wales’ award given by Welsh Football Magazine. It is the first time the club has won the overall award.
Programme Editor Neil Dymock, who had previously won this award twice with Carmarthenshire League team Evans & Williams Sports in the late 90’s, was pleased to receive the award from Welsh Football Magazine.
“It’s a tough award to win, I had two years at Bryntirion where we came 3rd in Britain, but never came close to this award. I would like to thank everyone who helped with the programme last season behind the scenes, especially our sponsors and advertisers, our two printers Sarah Louise Designs and Paul, Keith Griffiths the club photographer, article contributers, the players and the fans who all played their part.”
“Most of all I would like to dedicate the award to the late Hugh Roberts, who had previously edited the Llanelli match programme for many years. Much of the content and layout in the programme was what Hugh had started, so the work he had done made my job much easier.”

Here is the review from Welsh Football Magazine……..
In the Welsh Premier, three clubs’ programmes stood out for different reasons:
The New Saints, whose slick, professional issue was last year’s winner; Bala Town with an attractive layout, good use of colour and excellent cover design; and Llanelli, for quantity and quality of content, which a genuine attempt to include articles of interest on the opposition and football in general. And for those reasons, as above all programmes should be a good read, I’m awarding the title Best In Wales 2011-12 to the LLANELLI A.F.C. match programme.
And so, to the top ten listing for 2011-12:
1. LLANELLI (Best in Wales and Best in Corbett Sports Welsh Premier)
2. THE NEW SAINTS
3. MONMOUTH TOWN (Best in MacWhirter Welsh League)
4. FLINT TOWN UNITED (Best in Huws Gray Alliance)
5. BALA TOWN (Best cover design)
6. RHYL
7. ABERTILLERY EXCELSIORS
8. PORT TALBOT TOWN
9. AIRBUS UK BROUGHTON
