Celebrate and help your children Move for Health!
Hywel Dda Health Board’s Children’s Physiotherapy Service has organised a day of healthy fun, exercise and top tips on Friday 27 July to celebrate the official opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Families with children of all abilities are invited to join in at Tumble Village Hall (SA14 6HR) and you can drop in anytime between 10am and 3pm. Entry is free and there will be free parking available and light refreshments available.
Eve Thomas, children’s physiotherapist, who is helping to organise the event said: “We’re very excited to celebrate the start of the Olympics by encouraging children and their families to embrace healthy eating and increase their activity.
“The “Move for Health” strategy is endorsed by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and considering our role with physically impaired children, we aim to use the day to convey the message that all children regardless of their physical disabilities can participate in physical activity.
“We hope to see many turn up to this free event, perfect during the long summer holiday, and have plenty of healthy fun!”
The day is being supported by the Chartered society of Physiotherapy, MEND, Barnados and Mencap.
