Radio BGM hits the web waves!

Today saw Radio BGM (the hospital radio in Prince Phillip) launch its brand new web service.

Supporters and followers of hospital radio can now tune in to such regulars as Gunner & Gaz, Brandon Cleaver, Liam Jones, Dan Balbini and James Lloyd or even Nicholas Heath. 

It has all been possible thanks to the hard work of the volunteers and receiving a Communities First Trust Fund Award of £3,763.03.  The grant administered by the Wales Council for Voluntary action was to allow the group to purchase software and to kick start the live on line service.

Dave Hurford, Radio BGM Manager said:

“This has been achieved with the fantastic support we have received from both The Llanelli Town and Rural Councils and the Hywel Dda NHS Health Trust.”

“New to the sound of the station will be promotion and publicising of Health campaigns and information on treatments and services that are currently available.”

“All of which we hope will encourage more people to drop bye and listen to our service on a frequent basis.”

“The Youth members will play a strong part in our programming and it is hoped that many other new comers who wish to develop some broadcasting or admin skills will be able to form part of our team.  We have been liked by many hundreds on Facebook and we hope that this will continue meantime listen live at radiobgm.org.uk.”

“Currently the Summer Broadcast is an extended week long daytime period of live shows which is being kindly supported by an attendance from Mark Powell and Smithy from 96.4 The Wave on Tuesday.”
