Dress to Progress
Chwarae Teg have joined forces with Tenovus, Wales’ leading cancer charity, to launch a new campaign – Dress to Progress – and they need your help!
They are asking women across Wales to donate unwanted workwear to their local Tenovus charity shop or any of their offices.
The clothing will be sold at Tenovus shops and will give women looking to progress their careers the opportunity to put together an affordable, professional wardrobe.
There are a number of ways people can get involved and show support:
1. Spread the word
Help them tell as many women as possible about Dress to Progress.
2. Donate clothes
Please rummage through your wardrobe for any unwanted workwear, then simply drop it off at your local Tenovus shop. Here are some items they’d particularly like you to donate: suits, blouses, trousers, skirts, shoes, bags and belts. If you’re unsure about an item, please donate it anyway as all donations are welcome.
3. Get your business on board
If the campaign is something your whole organisation would like to support, Chwarae Teg can arrange for a Tenovus donation bin to be delivered to your workplace. The bin can be left in a convenient area for people to drop off their items and will be collected once full. They will give special recognition to organisations which demonstrate their support to the campaign by sharing news items and photographs of their efforts with our online community. To request a donation bin please call 02920 478900 or post@chwaraeteg.com
Chwarae Teg hope you can get involved with Dress to Progress. By offering your support in any one of the these ways you will be helping to create more opportunities for women to turn their jobs into rewarding careers whilst helping Tenovus continue its much valued work across Wales.
