Picnic in the Park is cancelled!
Contrary to our earlier article, we have just been informed that Saturday’s Picnic in the Park in Seaside is definitely cancelled.
Maria Austin one of the organisers said:
“Sorry to announce that the Picnic in the park despite valiant efforts has to be cancelled.”
“The large Marquee was caught up in winds this morning, unhitched, upturned and caught itself in the large trees. Over 26 pieces of the metal have been torn and twisted. We are very lucky that it was only the marquee that was damaged.”
“Thanks to all those who came out again this morning to help including the Fire Brigade.”
