Cannabis production factory discovered in Ammanford

Officers working in Ammanford Town Centre have discovered a large scale cannabis production system in a building which was thought to be unoccupied.

The discovery was made during routine enquiries after two men were stop checked in Quay Street during the early hours of Wednesday 19th September.

“Officers found cannabis plants in varuous stages of growth within a building known as the old Lloyds Bank on Ammanford Square,” said Detective Inspector Steve Cockwell. “There were a substantial number of plants found.

“Four men have since been arrested and charged with cannabis production and due before Llanelli Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday 20th September).”
