Carnival Santa’s help give cancer run around

You can help give cancer the runaround and have a lot of fun this Christmas by signing up for Llanelli’s Carnival Santa Dash.

Hundreds of Santa’s of all ages are hoped for at Wales’s biggest Christmas Carnival organised by Llanelli Round Table and supported by Carmarthenshire county and Llanelli Town and Rural council’s in Llanelli on November 23.

And the call has gone out to all those up for a Santa Dash challenge and the opportunity to win a gong. Children and family groups as well individual runners are welcome.

The Llanelli Santa Dash, organised by Human Being Active, will be in support of the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer.

The event is free to enter but all Santa participants are encouraged to raise funds for the charity.

The dash will start at 6.25pm, half-an-hour before the carnival arrives. and Similar dashes in Llanelli in past years have seen up to 25,000 spectators. The dash covers a distance of 800 metres of town centre thronged with carnival revellers.

Dashers are invited to bring their own suits although some will be provided by the charity. All those taking part will qualify for a Santa Dash medal.
