Fire appliances from Llanelli attended a house fire in Pembrey on Tuesday.
The fire was contained to the rear of the kitchen and roof void. 2 hose reel jets, 4 breathing apparatus, a positive pressure ventilation fan and thermal imaging camera were used to control the fire.
Fire crews investigated spread of fire into adjacent properties, using a rope pack and triple extension ladder to access a flat roof. One casualty was conveyed to hospital via ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation. A hot strike was subsequently carried out. Police and ambulance services were also in attendance.
