Police in Carmarthenshire are investigating the theft of satellite receivers worth £10,000 from a van parked on Bryn Road in Llanelli.

The theft happened some time between 5pm on Monday 29th October and 8am on Tuesday 30th October 2012.

Officers investigating the crime are asking people to report anyone trying to sell receivers to them.

“These satellite receivers have been made inoperable by the satellite company since they were reported stolen,” said Sergeant Marc Richards. “So anyone buying one should be aware they’re unlikely to work.

“I would ask anyone who is unexpectedly offered a brand new receiver for sale to say no and let us know about it as soon as possible. We can be contacted at Llanelli police station on 101.”
