Llanelli’s big festive music spectacular this Saturday, The Magic of Christmas, is forecast to be a sell-out as audiences rush for final tickets.

Organisers, the Hywel Girls’ Choir & Hywel Boy Singers, are taken aback by the demand for tickets for this year’s performance which will see the choir join forces with the Llanelli Choral Society, Burry Port Male Choir, Burry Port Town Band and others for a roof-raising night of Christmas music and song.

“The demand for tickets has been incredible”, explains concert coordinator Barbara Thomas. “The performance has become a landmark event in the town’s festive calendar. What a great way to kick-off Christmas!”

With 200 voices and musicians, the evening promises to be a roof-raising rollercoaster of seasonal song. Highlights will include ever popular carols – Once in Royal David’s City, Stille Nacht, Deck the Halls and O Come all Ye Faithful, contemporary hits such as Mary’s Boy Child and Saviour’s Day and great festive choruses – Ode to Joy, Hallelujah Chorus and O Holy Night.

The performance starts will take place at 7.30pm Saturday 8th December at Llanelli’s grand Tabernacle Chapel
