CARMARTHENSHIRE’S 50+ Champion has welcomed the publication of a new guide to promote greater links between the older and younger generations.

Cllr Tegwen Devichand said the Bringing Generations Together in Wales guidance, developed by the Welsh Local Government Association, in partnership with the Beth Johnson foundation, would play a useful role in helping to strengthen relationships across the generations in Carmarthenshire and the rest of Wales.

The guidance is designed to be used by people working to help to build communities for all ages.

Cllr Devichand said: “It is important to bring the generations together by challenging their misconceptions about each other and promoting understanding.

“Activities between the generations can challenge stereotypes. All generations have a contribution to make to the community.”
