A NEW network has been established for young people setting up in business in Carmarthenshire.
@bus14-24 aims to provide a sustainable support group for people starting out in business in rural Carmarthenshire.
It will be a networking and discussion forum for new and young business people providing advice and skills to take their business or idea forward.
The business advice and support network, which was launched at a recent event at the Ffos Las Racecourse, has been set up for individuals between the ages of 14 and 24 who are in full time education.
The group is delivered by Dewis Menter which is itself a business support project aimed to encourage entrepreneurship in rural Carmarthenshire.
@Bus 14-24 will work closely with schools, colleges and universities in Carmarthenshire to offer business information, guidance and advice as well as holding events and discussion forums to students who show interest in business and enterprise.
The long term aim for the project is to encourage enterprise amongst students in rural Carmarthenshire with a view of supporting a numbers of young people to set up their own business in the county.
@ BUS 14-24 is a part of Carmarthenshire County Council’s business support project Dewis Menter.
Dewis Menter has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
