As part of the Llanelli Multicultural week this year, the Llanelli Multicultural Network (LMCN) are holding a Photographic Competition/Exhibition and are seeking entrants to take part.
The themes for the competition are open to interpretation, and are A Multicultural Society and What does Multiculturalism mean to you – your own interpretation.
LMCN Chair, Rebecca Rosenthal said:
“Last year as part of the Multicultural Week, in order to leave a lasting legacy, we invited local schools and community groups to take part in designing and making a giant Multicultural patchwork quilt.”
“Each person was given a square of fabric and asked to design the piece of fabric with what Multiculturalism means to them. All the squares were then put together by quilters to form a giant Multicultural Quilt which is now on display in Llanelli Library.”
“The year we would like people to take part in the Multicultural Photographic Competition and Exhibition.”
The competition categories:
- Under 11 years old
- 11 – 16 years old
- Adult Open Category
- Members of the photographic society
If you would like to enter this competition/exhibition, then entries need to be submitted by 13th March 2013.
