THE Chair of Carmarthenshire County Council has congratulated Mr David Hopkins of Burry Port on his 100th birthday.
For many years Mr Hopkins was a faithful, almost daily, customer of the Willows cafe in Station Road, Llanelli.
The Chair Cllr Siân Thomas said: “When I asked Mr Hopkins what had given him the ability to keep going for so long, he said ‘the Willows’ excellent breakfast’.
“The cafe was so grateful for his loyalty that they held a party for him preparing all the food, drink and music as a gift, and the whole occasion was lovely.”
