Police investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal road traffic collision which happened at 8.50pm on Sunday 7th April are appealing for any motorists travelling in the area at the time who saw the red Ford Ka to get in touch.
Officers are still trying to build up a full picture of what happened and two witnesses have already been spoken to.
Sadly one of the passengers in the car died of her injuries and the three remaining young women occupants were taken by air ambulance to hospital.
“What we know at the moment is that four women were travelling in a red Ford Ka which has left the road and gone down an embankment on the road between Llangadog and Brynamman,” said Chief Inspector Pete Westlake. “Of the three occupants I can tell you that one has sustained broken bones and is expected to be discharged later today. A second occupant has what is believed to be fractured leg and is currently in theatre. The third occupant has more serious multiple and extensive injuries. Her current condition is described as stable.
“Officers are still at the scene carrying out their inquiries and we ask members of the public and the media to bear with us while the investigation takes place.
“In the meantime if anyone does have information no matter how insignificant they think it might be, please contact us at Ammanford Police Station on 101.”
