If your child loves to sing or dreams of winning the X-Factor, then exciting singing scholarships may be music to your ears… but youâll need to hurry!
This weekend (Saturday 13 April) sees the closing date for the 2013 Performance Singing Scholarships, exclusively offered to South Wales children aged 8 â 14 years old.
Winning applicants receive six months of free individual expert singing tuition together with the opportunity of group and individual performance experience for TV and concerts in exciting venues in Wales and England including St. Davidâs Hall Cardiff and the Yehudi Menuhin Concert Hall London.
Recent scholarship winners have enjoyed exciting experiences of TV filming, singing with Only Boys Aloud and performing in London with BBC newsreader Huw Edwards.
âThere are no qualifications to enter the scholarship. We simply look for a passion and love of singingâ, explains Helen Roberts-Jones of Kings College Choir School Cambridge and Chair of the Performance Singing Scholarships.
