It’s Crafts in Action time at the National Botanic Garden in Carmarthenshire this bank holiday weekend (4-6 May) where local crafts people will be putting on a show of their skills.
Visitors are in for a treat and can admire quality demonstrations from woodturners, felters, jewellery makers, spinners and more in the Great Glasshouse. There will also be a range of stalls in the Garden’s marquee with handmade teddy bears, organic skincare, beautiful ceramics, home furnishings and paintings so there’s something to suit all members of the family.
Organiser Les Bryan said: “This annual event has grown in popularity with visitors. We’ve assembled a formidable range of experts in a wide variety of crafts which, we hope, will provide plenty of food for thought for Garden visitors.
“The crafters will be demonstrating their skills as well as selling their wares – which will make for much more of a spectacle,” he added.
There’ll also be family entertainment by the magical Jugglestruck on Saturday, Sunday and Monday; music from Fiddlebox on Sunday and Monday and the wonderful Quack Pack on Bank Holiday Monday.
* The Garden is open daily from 10am to 6pm. For more information, call 01558 667149.
