Keep Wales Tidy are holding a hedge planting session tomorrow (Wednesday 24th) up at the youth hostel in Llanddeusant.

The work will consist of planting native hedge plants (hazel, blackthorn and buckthorn). The ground has been prepared today by children from Llandeilo primary school, and some planting has been carried out. The planting needs to finish this week as it is already very late in the season (the cold snap has allowed more time than usual).

Volunteers will be on site at about 9am and will finish about 2.30pm but people are welcome to come along for any amount of time they can spare.

Directions and location of the youth hostel can be found on their website – http://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/llanddeusant.

Please bring lunch as the nearest shop is in Llangadog (about 8 miles away) and sturdy footwear must be worn.
