The go-ahead firm of QualitySolicitors Redkite has appointed a new chief executive.
Andrew Manning, 47, arrives with an extensive track record in business management.
“QualitySolicitors Redkite are at the forefront when it comes to operating a modern-day legal business and I am delighted to be joining the team,” said Mr Manning.
“This is a great opportunity for me to help a very forward-thinking team at QualitySolicitors Redkite manage some of the very dramatic changes currently taking place in the marketplace of legal services.”
Bristol-born Mr Manning attended Bristol Cathedral School and studied Land Management at the University of Reading before gaining a MBA at the West of England University.
Mr Manning has also studied the advanced management programme at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
He added: “Recently, I have been running my own business called Bishopsworth Ltd, advising professional legal practices on management and before that was I was chief executive of the big law firm Bevan Brittan, of Bristol, London and Birmingham.
“I do stand out a bit in the legal world as I am a non-lawyer running a big law firm. I have worked as a chartered surveyor, I’ve worked in accountancy with Price Waterhouse and Ernst and Young and spent five years working for Honeywell.
“I’d like to think that I have extensive track record in getting things done. My management skill-set leaves me uniquely placed to help businesses change and thrive.
“The legal sector has been going through unprecedented changes – some related to the economy and others because of changes in legislation relating to legal services.
“I have been hugely impressed with the work of QualitySolicitors Redkite. They have identified the challenges in the marketplace and I have been very impressed by the quality of thinking at the firm and the willingness to respond to the changes going on in the legal services market.”
QualitySolicitors Redkite Managing Partner Luke Smith said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Andrew to the role of chief executive.
“We are in the vanguard of changing the face of legal services here at QualitySolicitors Redkite. We like to think we are in tune with what our customers want from us in terms of providing a service. Andrew will play a key role in developing our plans for the future.”
