COUNCIL housing officers are joining forces with Neighbourhood Policing Teams and hitting the road.

The Community Engagement Team is getting out and about to meet tenants and residents on housing estates across the county.

They will be joined by the local neighbourhood policing teams and are using their van as a mobile office.

The first event takes place in Llandybie on Thursday, May 30 between 10am and 2pm in the main car park in Caecoed.

They will also be joined by Llandybie Fuel Club and representatives from Credit Union who will have lots of help and advice for residents.

It is hoped residents from Caecoed, Woodfield Road, Heol Marlais and Caer Groes will go along to meet the team.

Executive Board Member for Housing Cllr Tegwen Devichand said: “This is an excellent opportunity for residents to go along and meet officers to discuss any issues they may have and to pick up information and advice on a range of services available to them.

“The team is also looking for suggestions from residents to help improve the area where they live. So this is your chance to have your say.”
