THREE people have been fined for dropping litter and a man fined for not cleaning up after his dog in Llanelli and Burry Port.
Environmental enforcement officers were on patrol at Parc Trostre and issued two fixed penalty notices for £75.
The first was to a young male who threw a straw wrapper and cup holder onto the ground and the second to a 64-year-old male who dropped a cigarette end.
Patrols were also carried out in Burry Port and saw a 23-year-old male fined for leaving a drink can at the harbour and a 31-year-old female was fined for failing to clean up after her dog in one of the back lanes off Dyfatty near the park.
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “Our officers carry out patrols across the county seven-days-a-week and anyone caught dropping litter or not cleaning up after their dog will be fined.
“We don’t want to fine people but we are determined to keep Carmarthenshire clean for both residents and visitors.”
