Parc Ladies, a new networking group for women in business in the Llanelli area, will host their first event at Parc y Scarlets this week.
The informal networking group will be a chance for professional business women to meet and share experiences and mix with like-minded women in a very informal atmosphere.
The inaugural event, Cheese, Wine & Lancôme, will be held on Thursday 18th July at Parc y Scarlets and is expected to be a glittering kick-off evening for Parc Ladies.
Parc y Scarlets Corporate Sales Manager Lisa Williams, who has a background in law, said: “We are delighted to be launching a new networking group for business women in the area.
“The aim of the networking group is to promote and celebrate women in business and their success. There are a number of women in business locally and we are keen to encourage new friendships and business links.
“Parc Ladies is an idea that has grown after seeing a need for a specific forum for business women in the area. There are a number of successful networking groups and events in the area but there seems to be a lack of opportunities for us ladies to get together and discuss business in a relaxed environment.
The inaugural evening will consist of cheese, wine and Lancôme make-up with staff on hand to share handy hints and tips. Mrs Williams went on to explain that the group’s first event will set the tone for future events: “We will encourage the ladies to mingle and enjoy a friendly evening in comfortable surroundings. Business men have been agreeing deals on golf courses for years and we think it’s time for us ladies to take work out of the office and the board room.
“Working in the male dominated world of sport can be daunting. This new group will ensure that all business ladies, from all fields, can benefit from networking, bringing our area together.”
Guests will be treated to a fantastic demonstration from Lancôme as well as receiving free gifts and makeovers throughout the evening.
