Keep Wales Tidy are organising events and are looking for volunteers, details below:
- 10th – River cleanup: Brynamman – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.807208,-3.871967&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=18 (Swimming pool entrance). (9am β 12pm). Tools and equipment will be provided but if possible please bring gloves, waders and / or wellies.
- 13th β Cleanup / vegetation clearance: Llanelli – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.673048,-4.16105&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=17 (Chooselife centre). (10am β 1pm). We will be clearing a piece of waste ground on the corner of Copperworks Road and New Dock Road. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if possible please bring gloves.
- 14th β Cleanup: Llundain Fach park – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.697306,-4.150987&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=18 (Turning area at top of Pleasant View). (1pm β 3pm). Tools and equipment will be available, but if possible please bring gloves.
- 17th β Vegetation clearance: Park Hall – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.861877,-4.297553&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=17 (Community woodland entrance). (10am β 1pm). The day will focus on cutting back overgrowth around the footpaths in the community woodland. Some tools and equipment will be available, but if possible please bring gloves, loppers, shears, rakes, brushes, strimmer* (50:1 two stroke petrol will be available for use).
- 28th – Working party: Morfa Berwig – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.669894,-4.107728&hl=en&num=1&t=m&z=16 (End of Berwick Road). (9.30am β 2.30pm). Llanelli Water Vole Action Group will be undertaking works such as vegetation management, fence erecting, litter picking and making repairs to any damaged infrastructure. Tools and equipment will be available, but if possible please bring gloves. This event is unsuitable for young children.
- 29th β Cleanup: Danybanc cycle track – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.696674,-4.151598&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=17 (Parking area between Danybanc & cycle track). (1pm β 3pm). Tools and equipment will be available, but if possible please bring gloves.

All (unless otherwise stated) are welcome to join the above events. You are welcome to stay for the duration or any time you can give will be greatly received. For all day events (those that continue after 1pm), please bring lunch as we donβt provide this, and the work locations are often not near food outlets / shops.
If you arrive after the designated start time, please ring 07824 504805 when you arrive in case we have moved on to a different part of the site, or come and look for us.
End times are just a guide and events / work days may end earlier if the job is finished.
Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
You are covered under Keep Wales Tidyβs insurance while at these events.
Please dress sensibly to suit the weather conditions on the day. Suitable footwear should also be worn (not sandals / flip flops, formal shoes); safety boots are ideal, but anything fairly rugged will be acceptable.
