On a boiling hot Sunday morning in July 2013, brave Sosban Riders faced the tough challenge of the grueling cross-country event.
A couple of riders tried out their new mountain bikes around the technically challenging course in the beautiful surroundings of the Margam gardens. They cycled and cycled their hearts out and cooled themselves off with a good soaking. They all enjoyed watching the pro-riders warm-up and had photos with the coronation stand.
Rhys and Wayne took part the day before in the adult races. Wayne took part in his first mountain bike race and did an amazing job of both completing the race surrounded by pro-riders and staying on his bike through those mad descents. Wayne would like to thank jelly babies for getting him through this race!
Both riders did a fantastic job of getting home injury free when all around were tumbling and crashing !
Next year both are planning to do it all again!
