MEMBERS of Brynamman Fuel Club are being advised to check their tanks to ensure they have enough oil to last through September.

Changes have been made to the times the fuel club co-ordinators are available at the Black Mountain Centre, and because of this there will be no oil order placed in September.

Starting on September 4, the co-ordinators will be available every Wednesday between 9am and 10am.

The Brynamman Fuel Club was launched in April, when volunteers from the community came together in a bid to save money on their energy bills.

It is one of several operating throughout Carmarthenshire, supported by Carmarthenshire County Council’s Community Engagement team, part of the Housing department.

Community Engagement Officer Janet Griffiths said: “Unfortunately, due to some changes at the club, there will be no oil order in September. As such, we are asking people to check their tanks to ensure they will have enough to last them until the next order in October.”

For further information call in to the Black Mountain Centre on a Wednesday or email brynammanfuelclub@hotmail.com. Alternatively, call the Community Engagement Team on 01554 899298.
