CHILDREN and adults came out to play for a community event at Llwynhendy Childrenā€™s Centre in support of National Playday recently.

The free family fun day had everyone bouncing with joy, with circus skills, bouncy castle and donkey rides on offer.

The National Playday campaign calls on everyone to help make sure that the places where children live and spend time are great places to play. As well as a celebration of children’s right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.

Executive Board Member for Childrenā€™s Services Cllr Keith Davies said: ā€œChildren can develop vital life skills by having fun; play gives children social and communication skills, security and confidence.ā€
