A 17 year old youth has been arrested by officers on suspicion of theft following a series of catalytic converter thefts across the county.
The youth has admitted to 9 offences between 13th and 24th April this year.
He has been bailed to a later date.
âThis arrest has come about thanks to forensic evidence and the diligence and hard work of local officers,â said Detective Sergeant Antony Panter. âThe arrest goes to show that it doesnât matter how long itâs been since a crime was committed, officers will continue to investigate.
âIt should be a warning to criminals that we are out there and we are watching.â
