Race report by Jac Gravell.
It was that time of year again when Sosban Riders took up the team challenge against the Morfa Cycling club. A huge turnout of riders ensured a high lap count in the two races that tested all riders on a fast short course around the school grounds.
Â
The first race gave an opportunity for the youngest of the riders to go as fast as they can for 10mins. Many competed in their first ever club race and did themselves proud.
Â
The second race was over a 12min period and the pace was fast and furious with Sosban riders showcasing their skills with clever teamwork and superb bike handling skills.
Equally, the riders from Morfa gave it their all and parents who came to support were amazed at the capabilities of their children.
The coaches decided that both teams deserved to be called âwinnersâ and called the event a draw. Efa Oliver came away with the prestigious award of âtop club riderâ for the sheer effort she gave in each lap.
Everyone who participated went away with a cycling medal that they clearly deserved !!! A huge thanks to Morfa school and all the children, parents, coaches and the school staff who made the event possible !!
